Clothes that are comfortable and loose-fitting like athletic t-shirts and shorts. Some sweatshirts and sweatpants can restrict movement and cause overheating. Proper foot wear, such as running shoes or cross-trainers, is very important too.
That depends on your goals, your budget, and both of our schedules. Unlike most personal trainers, my PT contract does NOT obligate you to train with me a certain number of times per week/month.
Sessions expire 1 year from the date of purchase.
No. All personal training sessions (private, tandem, in-home and virtual) are NOT refundable. They are transferable.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a particular session you must notify me by phone no less than 24 hours in advance, except in the case of an emergency. . . I understand sometimes “life happens”. If notification is not received 24 hours in advance, the client understands the session is forfeit.
The answer depends on what “results” you are looking for. Increased energy, weight loss, and strength gains may happen quickly, while recovering from a previous injury may take a bit longer. Your results are also dependent on your diet, consistency, and other physical activities.
There are many factors involved: your fitness level, the types of exercises you perform, total exertion during your workout, stretches (before, during, and after), hydration, rest and nutrition. For some, muscle soreness is cause for concern, while others may believe that they didn’t work out hard enough. In my opinion, muscle soreness should not be used as an indicator of “how good of a workout” you had. Depending on your fitness level, muscle soreness could indicate a great workout OR over-training or the need to stretch more.
That depends on the type of injury and when it happened. You’ll want to contact your primary care physician before starting any type of exercise program.
I have trained people from 11 to 89 years of age. If you are a minor (under 18), I require a parent/guardian signature on the PT Contract, and a parent/guardian must be present during your training session.
I am well-versed in weight training, boxing, rehab, pilates, isometrics, stretching, plyometrics, core strengthening, and sports specific exercises.
No. Your sessions are totally private.
For personal training sessions I accept check, cash, and all major credit cards. For wellness workshops, I accept check or cash.
Give me a call 608-395-4335 or send an e-mail to balancepersonaltraining4u@gmail.com. I’m sure we’ll both have questions before setting your first appointment. Additionally, I’d like you to fill out three forms: Exercise & Attitude Questionnaire, Health History Form, and my PT Contract/Release of Liability Form. This will save time, and when we meet for your first session you can start exercising right away.
